About The Position

The Senior Accountant position is based in Refresco's Tampa Executive Headquarters and is responsible for accounting and compliance matters related to cash balances, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and ensuring accuracy of results in systems for reporting. The position requires strong accounting and analytic skills. This position works closely with other Refresco employees, both in accounting and other functional areas. This position reports to the North America Accounting Manager.

Requirements

• Experience with SAP preferred
• Excellent accounting and analytical skills
• Proficient in Excel and Word
• Strong team player who is able to work across multiple functions
• Ability to analyze and solve problems, results oriented
• Able to work under deadline pressures
• Organized and detail oriented, adaptable to change
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written
• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or closely related field.
• 3 to 5 years relevant work experience in public accounting or industry.

Responsibilities

• Daily review of EBS (Electronic Bank Statements) successfully uploaded and posted to SAP.
• Review and manually clear all outstanding cash clearing items not automatically completed by SAP.
• Prepare journal entries to reclass all outstanding cash clearing balances.
• Collaborate with other departments such as AR, AP, Tax and Payroll to resolve cash clearing item issues.
• Preparation of month-end bank reconciliations.
• Preparation of audit schedules and activities to support the annual audit by external auditors.
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting schedules.
• Assist in timely and effective completion of SOX related activities related to cash.
• Identify and implement business process improvement opportunities.
• Other duties as assigned.
