About The Position

PayPal currently seeks a talented and entrepreneurial Outbound Account Representative to join the North American Outbound SMB Sales team for Canada. This represents an exciting opportunity to join, learn, and grow in our enthusiastic team. As an account representative, you will contribute to the growth of PayPal's acceptance of online merchants in PayPal's largest market, get to work with fast-growing merchants seeking guidance on how to take their business to the next level. The position is virtual, but ideally located near the offices in Toronto, Ontario, but can also be located in the United States in Arizona, California, Illinois, New York, or Texas. The role reports to the Manager of North America Outbound SMB Sales for Canada and interfaces heavily with internal PayPal teams across North America (Finance, Pricing, Compliance, Legal, Marketing, Product, Underwriting, Onboarding and Integration) to enable an efficient interaction between PayPal, the merchant and its end users.

Requirements

  • 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Outbound sales experience in technology and ecommerce, such as infrastructure, software, fintech, or online retail industries.
  • Proven ability to close deals of more than $2 million annually.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must.
  • Proficient in Office 365, Salesforce.com and other desktop solutions, with an ability to navigate a desktop environment easily.
  • A team player with great interpersonal, cross-functional project management abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a great sense of urgency and follow-through.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and understanding of processing and financial models in e-commerce is a plus.
  • Bilingual speaker is a plus. (English, with fluency in French or Cantonese.)

Responsibilities

  • Influence the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of sales processes and programs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to implement best practices and drive improvements.
  • Work outside of defined processes to determine appropriate actions and solutions.
  • Analyze customer needs and present tailored solutions to drive sales growth.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and reporting on pipeline status and revenue forecasts.
  • Meet and exceed established sales and revenue targets.
  • Build, manage and deliver on a pipeline and forecast of company-provided and prospected business opportunities.
  • Meet and exceed sales activity targets such as discovery calls, outbound communications, new account acquisitions and close rates.
  • Develop personal sales strategies to achieve sales goals and exceed sales targets.
  • Ability to execute the entire sales process, starting with prospecting new leads to the activation of new accounts.
  • Maintain and promote a positive and professional persona while building collaborative relationships among potential and existing internal and external customers and colleagues.
  • Demonstrate productive teamwork through positive attitude, being supportive in words and actions, embodying the core values of PayPal.
  • Maintain comprehensive understanding and application of PayPal product and services, market competitors, industry trends and client success stories as provided by management.
