As the Sr. Account Manager, you will drive the achievement of the annual sales budget, while actively participating in a small, collaborative team environment. You will leverage your extensive background in business-to-business pet food ingredient sales for immediate impact. In addition, you will build/expand relationships with pet food company key stakeholders and industry influencers for long-term success, positioning the Rangen portfolio as the brand of choice. You will develop and execute a territory plan aimed at positioning Rangen as the leading pet food additive and ingredient solution provider. Rangen team members will work together to identify market trends/needs and contribute to the overall business plan for the long-term success of the business.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Animal Science, Ag- business, Engineering, marketing or a related agriculture discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales or applicable experience in the industry (petfood or animal protein rendering industry)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer-facing roles
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and communicate technical data effectively to both scientific and commercial audiences
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to balance multiple projects and customer priorities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to build trust and credibility across diverse stakeholders
  • A collaborative, self-motivated professional who combines scientific curiosity with a drive for business growth
  • Experience in building & maintaining relationships with high-priority end users and industry influencers in assigned territories to drive product sales
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets with pet or animal protein rendering customers
  • Familiarity with quick problem-solving expertise in customer-facing role
  • Open to traveling 25-50% of the time to visit customer sites and attend industry events

Responsibilities

  • Drive the achievement of the annual sales budget
  • Actively participate in a small, collaborative team environment
  • Leverage extensive background (training, work experience, technical expertise) in business-to-business pet food ingredient sales for immediate impact
  • Build/expand relationships with pet food company key stakeholders and industry influencers for long-term success, positioning the Rangen portfolio as the brand of choice
  • Develop and execute a territory plan aimed at positioning Rangen as the leading pet food additive and ingredient solution provider
  • Work together with Rangen team members to identify market trends/needs and contribute to the overall business plan for the long-term success of the business
  • Own and grow assigned strategic accounts: develop account plans, identify expansion opportunities, and execute to revenue targets (quota-bearing role)
  • Prospect and close new customers in target markets like antioxidants, pre-mix & yeast
  • Develop a mid and long-term account strategy, gain alignment, and help develop tactics and action plans across diverse markets to achieve committed growth plans
  • Prepare and deliver regular account and sales reports to Director of Sales and other stakeholders
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, technical sales, customer service, and product teams to ensure customer success
  • Escalate and track complex technical or contractual issues
  • Help refine company products/processes based on customer feedback
  • Drive revenue growth and build a sustainable customer pipeline
  • Develop a deep understanding of customers’ needs to deliver tailored solutions that foster loyalty and measurable outcomes
  • Provide technical expertise and field support to current and prospective customers
  • Enhance Rangen’s industry credibility by effectively communicating the science and value proposition behind antioxidant portfolio & services
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop sales tools, strategies, and customer engagement initiatives that support business objectives
  • Own account-level management, forecasting, budgeting, and EBITDA tracking to support territory and business profitability
