Raytheon’s SPY-6 is seeking a Systems Integration SME for the Product Integration Team (PIT) who will provide technical leadership through the hardware and software integration of a complex radar system. They will lead a multi-disciplined team through integration and test activities while working to program schedule. This position’s responsibilities are to perform detailed root cause analysis from our Land Based Test Site and Ship test challenges and failures. The PIT Systems Integration SME will also work closely with the LSE to develop candidate corrective actions. They will be responsible for system level end-to-end IQSIM recreation to provide proof that corrective actions resolve the issue. This position will interface with the engineering and program management team, as well as Land Based Test Site and Shipyard teams, while implementing best practices, providing mentoring and guidance to the team, and identifying lessons learned to drive improvements to the integration process and schedule.

Requirements

  • Typically requires Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with system radar, software integration, and/or system test.
  • Experience with MATLAB and Linux.
  • Ability to obtain interim secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

Nice To Haves

  • Expertise with radar system emulators/simulators, radar modeling and simulation tools, and radar data analysis using automated test tools (e.g. Jenkins)
  • Extensive experience with signal verification activities in radar systems.
  • Experience collaborating with a highly dynamic team of engineers on customer focused tasks requiring well-developed communication skills (i.e. experience presenting to internal & external customers utilizing PowerPoint or other presentation tools).
  • Experience developing comprehensive integration/test plans with multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience reviewing/debugging software source code.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with internal program and customer program teams in a collaborative manner.
  • Develop complex system integration and test best practices including root cause analysis, site data investigation and triage, and test tool development.
  • Perform root cause investigation, failure recreation, and defect prioritization.
  • Develop modeling/simulation test frameworks for complex radar systems.
  • Interface with multi-disciplinary teams to implement system improvements and corrective actions.
  • Interface with engineering and program leadership to institute program-wide lessons learned.
  • Domestic travel is up to 20% between Tewksbury MA and Marlborough MA.
