You provide technical support to internal teams and work closely with the Production and Engineering departments to resolve process issues and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 4 year degree in related field.
- Minimum 5 years direct experience administering the quality function within a high volume manufacturing environment.
- 5 years of related supervisory experience.
Responsibilities
- Supervises Quality Assurance operations to assure all components, processes and products will satisfy technical requirements.
- Serves as technical liaison with STIHL R&D Germany, suppliers and internal production operations to effectively resolve all issues, promote quality, productivity improvements and cost reduction.
- Supervises operations to assure all quality planning, budgetary, procedural, legal, personnel and safety requirements are effectively applied.
- Promotes process improvement through the successful application of management and quality tools.
- Supervises employees through the development and deployment of performance strategies that increase employee productivity, quality and well-being.
- All work affecting product quality shall be competent on the basis of appropriate education, training, skills, and experience.
- Assumes additional related responsibilities as required.
