About The Position

This position supervises and coordinates the work of employees responsible for repairing and maintaining buildings and facilities. Key duties include preparing work schedules, assigning tasks, and overseeing the quality of work. The supervisor may also be involved in new construction projects or modifications to existing properties. Responsibilities extend to receiving and addressing customer repair and maintenance requests, determining appropriate actions, and assigning work to staff. The role also involves coordinating requests for outages and utility shutdowns for scheduled projects, contributing to the development of department policies and procedures, and ensuring employees stay updated on techniques and procedures. Additionally, the supervisor assists in meeting the business, financial, customer, service quality, and regulatory requirements of the area.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years of college level course work in business, management, engineering, or a related field
  • Four years of increasingly responsible facility maintenance experience including some lead supervisory experience
  • Valid state driver's license
  • Driving record must be within the approved insurance company’s regulations
  • Powered Industrial Truck Operator certification within 12 months of hire or transfer

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree in engineering
  • High Pressure Boiler Operators License
