The Sprinkler Foreman is responsible for leading and executing fire sprinkler system installations, retrofits, and turnkey projects from start to completion. This role supervises field crews, coordinates labor and materials, performs quality control, and ensures systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements. The position requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, a high level of safety awareness, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment. Clearance/Citizen Type: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements including U.S. citizenship for access to classified information. (Ability to obtain US Clearance, minimum Top-Secret Clearance.)

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of fire sprinkler system installation, design, or prefabrication experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.

  • Hands-on experience with fire pump installation, testing, and commissioning
  • Knowledge of applicable NFPA standards (including NFPA 13, NFPA 20, and NFPA 25) and local codes
  • Requires a Valid driver's license. This position may require ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle.

  • Ability to pass background checks and meet site-specific access requirements
  • Posses NICET Level II in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems or
  • Obtain NICET Level II in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems within 90 days of employment.
  • Relocates a 12 foot stepladder without assistance.
  • Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders.
  • Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
  • Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.
  • May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise fire sprinkler installation and retrofit projects, including turnkey installations
  • Plan, coordinate, and direct daily field activities for assigned projects
  • Perform material takeoffs and develop accurate bills of materials (BOM) to support project execution
  • Coordinate material procurement and ensure materials are available to meet project schedules
  • Install, modify, and upgrade fire sprinkler systems in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and codes
  • Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of fire pumps and related components
  • Conduct system testing, flushing, hydrostatic testing, fire pump acceptance testing, and final inspections
  • Perform ongoing quality control inspections to ensure work meets company standards, project specifications, and code requirements
  • Identify field issues, nonconformances, and constructability concerns; propose corrective actions and solutions
  • Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades to ensure smooth project execution
  • Interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, submittals, and technical documentation
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, redlines, as-built drawings, and test records
  • Train, mentor, and supervise fitters and junior technicians
  • Enforce safety requirements and promote a strong culture of safety on all job sites
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and site-specific safety programs
  • Manage tools, equipment, and job-site housekeeping
  • Work effectively under pressure while managing schedules, labor resources, and project deadlines.
