Are you a passionate engineering student looking for hands-on experience in aerospace design and manufacturing? Our Spring/Summer 2026 Engineering Co-Op program offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside industry experts, gain real-world skills, and contribute to innovative projects in Power and Actuation Systems Business Unit at Marotta Controls. Join Marotta Controls' Engineering internship/Co-Op Program and take your classroom knowledge into the real world of aerospace and defense. As a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op, you'll gain hands-on experience in design, production, quality, or test/development engineering while working alongside industry experts. You'll apply mechanical and aerospace engineering principles to real projects, receive mentorship, and present your work to senior leadership at the end of your rotation. Along the way, you'll also network with other interns and employees through professional development and engagement events. Internships are available with a variety of teams across our MotorFox Divison in design, production, quality, or test/development engineering.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in aerospace design.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Pro-E preferred).
  • Excellent academic performance, particularly in core engineering courses.
  • High attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (due to security clearance requirements).
  • Must be enrolled in a bachelor's or graduate degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering (or equivalent field).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing and analyzing aerospace & Defense control components.
  • Support the creation of assembly procedures, test reports, and technical documents.
  • Research suppliers and special process vendors.
  • Help design and validate fixtures for assembly and test operations.
  • Conduct tolerance stack-ups, feasibility studies, and compliance reviews for engineering drawings.
  • Participate in design reviews and present findings.
  • Perform basic engineering calculations (trigonometry, geometry, etc.) as needed.
  • Work onsite and full-time starting January 2026 throughout end of Summer 2026
