The mission of the Quality Engineering department is to ensure quality in the design and development of these machines, which are some of the highest precision products ever produced in the world. This position is based on-site in Wilton, CT, which has both R&D and manufacturing operations. We design and produce multiple sub-system modules that are shipped to our headquarters in Veldhoven, The Netherlands where they are integrated into the full lithography machine. Roles and responsibilities As a Quality Engineering Co-Op student, you will work with the Quality Engineering team to providing insight into the quality of the department’s development processes and deliverables. This includes driving quality improvements, solving customer issues using ASML's way of working, preforming design & process failure mode-effect analysis (FMEA), leading structural root cause analysis (RCA), implementing corrective actions and preventative actions (CAPA), and providing training as needed. You also have the opportunity to help shape a new quality role within a design and development organization. Bring the Voice of the Internal/External Customer (VoC) into the department by providing feedback from customers, customer service, factory, supply chain, and integration to the department. Improve the Feedback Loop / Operational Excellence. Provide on a regular basis insight on performance in terms of parts usage, product performance, quality sensitive elements in design process adherence.
