About The Position

A Day in Your Life at MKS: As an Mechanical Engineering Intern at MKS Klamath Falls, you will partner with Internal Teams, Sales, Customers, etc. to improve manufacturing quality and respond to customer complaints. In this role, you will report to the Sr. Manager, Manufacturing/Operations. You Will Make an Impact By: •Develop, implement and maintain methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub assemblies and final assemblies •Interface with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products •Estimate manufacturing cost, determines time standards and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines • Maintain records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations

Requirements

  • Understanding of Machining principles
  • CAD or 3D modeling experience
  • Ability to document and develop Manufacturing procedures and job aids and time standards.
  • Root Cause Analysis and development of corrective and preventive actions.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Excel Macros and VBA programing
  • Understanding of 8D Problem solving methodology
  • CNC programing experience
