About The Position

SOCCER SHOTS NASHVILLE: Soccer Shots Nashville stretches from Wilson, Sumner, Robertson, and Rutherford Counties to Williamson and Southern Davidson Counties. Offices are located in Nashville, TN. Soccer Shots Nashville is supported by Soccer Shots DC/MD/VA headquartered in Laurel, MD including but not limited to human resources, operations, payroll, and professional development. Soccer Shots Nashville offers programs at nearly 100 locations, serves over 1,800 participants, and employs approximately 25 part-time coaches. REPORTS TO: Program Director Academic and Experiential Objectives: The intern will be required to handle and present him/herself in a professional manner, consistently arriving on time to assigned office hours, coaching sessions, and events. S/he will be expected to assist in the overall execution of a Soccer Shots season and will gain knowledge in the planning, scheduling, sales/marketing, customer service, and management side of the business. Throughout the season, the intern will have the opportunity to organize and coordinate an annual clinic, which is an important aspect of Soccer Shots’ community outreach. The student intern will also participate in instructing Soccer Shots sessions, giving him/her experience in coaching youth and working with parents. Obtaining Academic/College Credit If a student, this internship experience may or may not already be an approved academic credit internship with your school. Please make sure to notify us immediately if you are seeking academic credit through your school for this experience. With your help, Soccer Shots will work directly with your school’s registrar, academic advisor, or internship department to help you achieve academic credit for this internship experience. Internship Structure and Compensation: The Soccer Shots internship will encompass a minimum of 240 hours over a 12-week period . The internship will include twelve consecutive 20-hour (minimum) work weeks for the duration of the internship. During the first four weeks of the internship, the intern will be working closely with the Program Director on preparing for the upcoming season -- scheduling instructors, running demos, and promoting the season. Once the season starts, the student intern’s schedule will be half in the office working on various tasks, projects, & assignments and half coaching at various locations and programs

Requirements

Prior soccer experience is not required. We only require the passion for positively impacting children’s lives through the love of sports and fitness.
Valid driver’s license and access to personal vehicle
Must be at least 18 years of age
At least one consistent Weekday Evening (4pm-7pm) & one weekend morning (8am-12pm) available per week
