The SPR NA Digital Field Lead is a pivotal role dedicated to advancing our seeds production processes, modernization, and digitization with a focus on Corn and Soybean. Serving as a vital member of the SPR NA team, this position will be instrumental in managing and leading long-term field modernization projects for the North America region. With a deep understanding of the seeds production industry and project management, the candidate will be at the forefront of ensuring the organization remains cutting-edge and ready for the future. This role embraces an AI-first mindset, leveraging artificial intelligence and digital technologies to drive innovation, efficiency, and data-informed decision-making across seeds production research and seed operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, Business, or a related field. Advanced degrees in a related discipline will be an advantage
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Experience with precision ag systems.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in seed production, research & development required
  • Proven track record in leading innovation and complex projects, ideally within agriculture or production
  • Exposure to and proficiency with AI tools, digital platforms, and data analytics in operational or research settings
  • Strategic thinking and analytical problem-solving, with an AI-first mindset
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement across diverse teams
  • Adaptability, proactive leadership, and organizational planning
  • Commitment to continuous learning, especially in AI and emerging technologies
  • Ability to influence and advocate for digital transformation and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Innovation Leadership: Drive and manage field innovation initiatives from concept to execution, aligning with the company’s broader vision and strategy. Champion the integration of AI technologies to enhance operational capabilities and innovation outcomes
  • Research & Development: Continually assess emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies—including AI and machine learning applications—in the seeds production industry to bolster our innovation pipeline in Production & Supply
  • Project Management: Lead and manage long-term projects within North America, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to scope, and optimal resource utilization
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with North America teams, sharing insights, knowledge, and best practices, ensuring a unified approach to innovation within the region
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate and liaise effectively with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders to gather input, share updates, and facilitate smooth project execution. Advocate for AI literacy and adoption among stakeholders
