Sports Specialty Camp Counselor - Shady Grove YMCA
About The Position
Shady Grove Family YMCA is seeking part-time sports camp counselors to help with our summer sports camp program. There will be a multitude of activities such as Lego, STEAM, etc.. A typical shift will run from 8:30am-12:15pm Monday-Friday from June 1-August 7. This part time position starts at $14.00 per hour. We are asking that all counselors are available 6 of the 8 weeks during the Summer. Specialty Camp Counselors will be given all lesson plans and supplies every day. Specialty camp counselors should enjoy working with children, communicate effectively with parents, and create a fun environment for all campers! Requirements
- Sports specialist should know the basic rules of the sport
- work well with young people
- be able to multitask
- communicate effectively with parents and children
- Sports Camp Counselors should have an enjoyment of sports, being outdoors, and working with young people.
Responsibilities
- Sports specialists should be available to work evenings and weekends to help facilitate practices and games.
