About The Position

Multnomah Athletic Club is more than Portland’s most legendary hub of sports and socializing. It’s like a small city unto itself. Where else can you find four restaurants, three pools, a climbing gym, state-of-the-art studios and fitness suite, a complex of racquet sport courts, massage offerings, a boutique, plus a grand ballroom and variety of events spaces all in one place? To say that every employee of MAC has room to move is an understatement almost as big as MAC’s 600,000 square feet of recreational possibilities. Want a career with a future? A campus worth exploring? A one-of-a-kind community on which you can have a direct impact? MAC is all of those things and more. The Role The Multnomah Athletic Club is seeding a Sport Pub Line Cook. This person will be responsible for the daily preparation of high-quality food in a timely, efficient, sanitary and consistent manner. Line Cooks work a station in the kitchen as scheduled by the Executive Chef and execute all related duties of that station. If you can stand the heat, why would you want to work in any other kitchen? Food service isn’t for the faint of heart, but Multnomah Athletic Club offers rewards for those ready to turn up the gas on their careers to which few other industry institutions can hold a candle. Anchored by one of the best, biggest kitchens in the state of Oregon, and serving four unique restaurants, MAC is so much more than a social and athletic club – it’s a nonstop monument to all that’s delicious in the world. Any way you slice it, MAC dining is a cut above. There’s always a built-in audience for your show-stopping feats of savory and sweet, providing stability undreamed of in most restaurant jobs. And what other eatery offers employees access to one of the greatest athletic facilities in the world when they’re off the clock. “Work hard, play hard” might be a cliché at this point, but MAC can make you believe all over again. Free parking, insurance, and a 401(k) aren’t industry standard, but few aspects of this career will be. You’re going to work hard wherever you go. Why not enjoy the fruits of your labor, and the vegetables and most delectable of proteins, too?
