5 years or more working with youth in an organized sports setting and 3+ years of proven experience in staff development, supervision, and training

A commitment to providing young people with the highest-quality youth development experience
Must be knowledgeable about youth development program design and planning, administration and evaluation, child abuse reporting laws, After School standards, as well as knowledge and awareness of a wide variety of out of school activities
Must be a talented multi-tasker and an independent worker who is adept at working on a team, thrives in a start-up environment, and maintains a flexible and positive attitude
Must have the ability to develop positive relationships with youth, adults, parents, staff, teachers, administration, the Y and community members.
Must be able to work independently, have consistent follow through and demonstrate good judgment
Must know how to grow, motivate, and maintain a strong new team
Experience working with middle school and high school students in an urban area
Excellent organizational skills and multi-project/multi-task oriented, including experience scheduling and coordinating multiple fun and education-focused activities for youth
Team player with proven ability to work with people from a variety of different ethnic, socio economic, educational, religious, sexual and generational backgrounds
Fingerprint background check clearance
TB Test clearance within last 2 years

2+ years of budget management experience
Master’s degree in related field
