Assists in the planning, directing and overall operation of quality the Sports Medicine Outreach Program. Ensures service quality while managing and overseeing staff athletic trainers, including school based and supplemental (PRN) staff. Coordinates team physician assignments with the Director of Sports Medicine, meets with school administrators regarding sports medicine service agreements, assists in the placement of athletic trainers in schools and visits schools regularly to provide support and oversight of athletic trainers. Oversees the administration of the Outreach Program, which includes short term agreements with youth sports organizations and clubs, invoicing for services and coordinating athletic pre-participation exams in contracted schools. Through direct clinical leadership, ongoing outcome analysis and program development, the incumbent is responsible for high customer satisfaction, and efficient, productive use of personnel, material and financial resources. Serves as a liaison between various departments and leadership and collaborates to ensure quality process and policies are in place. Requirements

  • Master's degree preferred. Current BOC certification and Indiana Athletic Training licensure required.
  • Requires a high level of initiative with the ability to plan and lead both internal and vendor team members.
  • Requires leadership experience in managing departments, teams or functional areas in operations.
  • Requires strong interpersonal and coaching skills with the ability to positively affect culture change and resolve personnel issues while fostering cross-functional collaboration.

  • Requires the ability to adapt and lead in ambiguous situations and manage multiple priorities with sometimes limited resources.
