Job Overview & Work Site Your Role As a Sports Massage Therapist, you’ll work with athletes and active individuals who rely on your expertise to stay at the top of their game. You’ll provide targeted massage therapy to help clients recover faster, prevent injuries, and improve performance—all in a supportive, collaborative environment. Your Day-to-Day Build meaningful connections with clients while assessing their needs and tailoring treatments to their goals. Apply specialized techniques to reduce soreness, improve flexibility, and enhance overall conditioning. Requirements

Graduate from an accredited massage therapy program
Active massage therapy license
Interest in sports massage and willingness to learn advanced techniques

Responsibilities

Client Assessment: Evaluate clients’ physical activities and needs to determine effective massage techniques.
Treatment Application: Use specialized techniques (effleurage, petrissage, compression) to address muscle tension, improve blood flow, and reduce soreness.
Performance Enhancement: Employ massage to maintain conditioning and improve athletic performance.
Injury Prevention & Management: Reduce risk of injury and assist with recovery to help athletes return to competition safely.
Collaboration: Work alongside coaches, athletic trainers, and physical therapist to provide comprehensive care.
