About The Position

The Sport Instructor is a hands-on role responsible for leading athletes and providing expert instruction in their designated sport. This role is crucial for delivering the i9 Sports Experience and fostering a positive youth sports culture on the field. i9 Sports, founded in Tampa, Florida, is the nation's first and largest youth sports league franchise business, with over 3.5 million registrations in communities across the country. The company offers youth sports leagues, camps, and clinics for kids ages 3-17 in popular sports such as flag football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, baseball, and lacrosse. i9 Sports focuses on fun, safety, convenience, and good sportsmanship, aiming to reinvent the youth sports experience for families by providing age-appropriate instruction and teaching the importance of good sportsmanship on the field and in life.

Requirements

Excellent communication skills
Sport-specific coaching experience & knowledge
Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently
Commitment: Please be committed and do not call-out last minute
Ability to work a varied work schedule including weekends and some evenings (for the full duration of the season, ~7 weeks)

Responsibilities

Setting up & Break down of fields/courts
Reffing & Coaching
Lead practice sessions focusing on fundamentals, skill development, and fun
Teach & demonstrate core concepts including Sportsmanship values
With the help of established platforms, communicate game day information to prayers and parents
Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills
