About The Position

Aug Prep is more than a school, it's a community where excellence, faith, and holistic education come together. We’re not only about high standards but also creating a place where people love to grow, learn, and inspire! We currently serve over 2,400 K4-12 students in our ninth year at our South Campus. We are thrilled to launch our North Campus in the 26-27 school year, initially serving about 300 students in grades K4-6 and 9. In this role, You Will : support day-to-day student engagement and implement spiritual formation programming. You will build meaningful relationships with students, lead discipleship environments, and help cultivate a vibrant, Christ-centered faith culture aligned to the broader vision of the Spiritual Life & Discipleship Manager and Director of Faith and Culture. The ideal candidate is a relational disciple-maker who thrives in daily student interaction, mentors students toward ownership of their faith, and brings energy, warmth, and spiritual maturity to every space they enter. This is a highly student-facing, implementation-focused role that brings the Faith Leadership team’s vision to life.

Requirements

  • A deep belief in students' ability to grow, change, develop, and thrive spiritually regardless of their background.
  • HS Diploma, education in faith formation or theology a plus.
  • Active participation in a Christian church.
  • A vibrant and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Strong relational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to connect authentically and consistently with students across age groups.
  • Warmth, approachability, and emotional maturity.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Team player committed to the St. Augustine Preparatory mission and model.
  • Lastly and most important, the candidate must demonstrate and possess the highest integrity, and be able to live the values, beliefs, and culture of St. Augustine Prep.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and execution of student chapels and faith-based events (K–12), under the direction of the Spiritual Life & Discipleship Manager.
  • Assist with chapel planning, logistics, student involvement, and overall execution
  • Coach and support students in worship, prayer, testimony, and speaking roles
  • Help cultivate a culture of engagement and reverence during chapel, retreats, and other experiences
  • Support retreats and spiritual events through small group facilitation, prayer, and relationship-building
  • Reinforce learning through follow-up conversations with students
  • Build meaningful relationships with students and lead discipleship opportunities that foster spiritual growth.
  • Lead small groups, Bible studies, mentorship, and prayer gatherings
  • Encourage spiritual curiosity and model spiritual practices
  • Support students navigating questions, doubt, or personal challenges
  • Identify and develop student leaders, coaching them to lead and grow in ownership of their faith
  • Maintain a consistent, trusted presence in the school community while aligning with staff and broader spiritual goals.
  • Provide informal check-ins, prayer, and spiritual support to students
  • Partner with counselors, deans, and other Aug Prep staff to support student well-being
  • Collaborate with school leadership to align discipleship efforts with chapel themes and school priorities
  • Share insights on student engagement, growth, and needs to strengthen programming
  • Model Christ-centered leadership with integrity, humility, and discretion in all interactions.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with students, families, and colleagues through clear and proactive communication
  • Maintain confidentiality while supporting students with care and professionalism
  • Engage fully in school life, including supervision duties and other assigned responsibilities, with a relational and pastoral presence
  • Approach the role with flexibility and a servant mindset, stepping into student needs as they arise
  • Pursue ongoing spiritual and professional growth
  • Contribute positively to a unified, mission-driven culture of faith formation
