About The Position

The Medical Assistant supports the delivery of healthcare services in a clinic by performing administrative and clinical duties under the supervision of licensed medical providers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of medical assistant experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing environments and schedules.
• Commitment to serving underserved or high-risk populations.
• Proficient in EHR and basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program (CMA, RMA, CCMA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain exam areas, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for patients.
• Take and record vital signs, patient histories, and chief complaints.
• Assist healthcare providers with examinations and minor procedures.
• Administer medications and immunizations as directed and within scope of certification.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records via EHR systems.
• Document patient encounters and prepare charts for provider review.
• Coordinate with clinic staff for follow-up care, referrals, and patient outreach.
• Maintain medical supply inventory and ensure restocking.
• Perform safety checks and ensure proper functioning of equipment.
