Job Objective: Implements treatment plans and selects modalities to meet specific established goals. Provides prescribed speech therapy treatment to facilitate the rehabilitation of mentally or physically handicapped patients. Assists in the evaluation of patient progress and recommends discharge planning. Conducts and assists with patient activities and maintains appropriate records. Job Description: Education: Required: Master’s degree in Speech Therapy (ST) or Speech Language Pathology Licensure/Certification: Required: Licensed by the ST Board of State of California; American Heart Association BLS Experience: Preferred: Speech therapy or healthcare experience Reports To: Manager-Speech Therapy Supervises: N/A Ages of Patients: Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric Blood Borne Pathogens: Moderate Potential Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Ability to communicate with patients, healthcare professionals, and staff to ensure clear and accurate exchange of information, Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines, Basic speech therapy skills, Knowledge, skills, and ability to administer all department modalities, programs, and protocols appropriate to the age of the patients served, Written and verbal communication skills
