About The Position

Extended School Year Speech Therapist One (1) speech therapist Description -Program provides support for speech and language specific goals for students K-12. PA Certification as a School Speech and Language Pathologist (PK-12) required . The program runs June 29-July 30 every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:30AM-12:00PM for students and 8:15AM-12:15PM for staff. Compensation will be TBD per the PGEA Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Requirements

• PA Certification as a School Speech and Language Pathologist (PK-12) required

Responsibilities

• Provide direct speech and language services to students during the course of the ESY program per individual student IEP.
• Complete ongoing weekly progress monitoring data toward IEP goals
• Communicate ongoing with families regarding speech activities and students' progress
• Support staff in the implementation and use of any AAC for students.
• Implement student positive behavior support plans.
• Complete end of ESY report of maintenance sheets that will be shared with families and teachers for the coming school year.
• Support the adaptive/functional needs of students.
• Participate in any trainings to support student needs
