About The Position
Powerback is seeking a Full-Time Speech Therapist to join their team. The company is a leader in physical, occupational, speech, and respiratory therapies, dedicated to improving lives by helping older adults stay active and thrive, and providing essential therapy for children at home and in school. With over 38 years of service, Powerback operates in skilled nursing centers, assisted and independent living facilities, outpatient clinics, and home-based care, delivering personalized care where and when it's needed. Requirements
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders or similarly-titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
- Licensed, certified or credentialed, as required in the state of practice.
Responsibilities
- Help patients communicate, swallow, and work to diminish or remediate disorders or deficits.
- Take responsibility for the effective and efficient delivery of rehab services.
- Design the plan and work with patients to execute those plans.
- Address the whole patient and see them as an individual.
- Design a program that will restore, reinforce, and enhance their speech and communication abilities.
- Be adaptable to the needs of the patient and find joy in the variety of the work and the settings.
- Thrive in a setting that keeps you moving through your day, from cleaning equipment to reporting to meetings.
- Collaborate with peers.
- Make referrals to help patients get the care they need to thrive.
- Train patients and caregivers on the skills they need to promote independence and productivity.
