About The Position

Under direct supervision of a licensed speech pathologist, evaluates communication/swallowing disorders, establishes realistic goals. Identifies specific therapeutic intervention to maintain, restore, and/or promote the patient’s pre-morbid status. Administers therapy, participates in multidisciplinary team meetings and performs related duties. Speech Pathology CFY - Clinical Fellowship Job Responsibility   Performs diagnostic evaluations and speech / language / swallowing screenings for in-patients and out-patients evidencing disorders/ impairments, using appropriate test procedures. Develops and submits a therapy treatment plan based upon the findings including short and long term rehabilitation goals, projections of the frequency of visits and the expected duration of the therapy services. Helps in providing therapy in group and/or individual sessions providing language development, speech correction, auditory training, speech reading and dysphagia intervention. Assists in counseling patients and families on problems associated with disorders. Documents the patient’s progress after each session. Participates in team conferences and department meetings, as required. Receives direct and indirect supervision from the supervisor and/or staff therapists. Performs related duties as required. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 0-1 years of relevant experience, required.
  • Speech Pathology CFY - Clinical Fellowship
  • Master's Degree - Speech Pathology
