STATUS: Per Diem LOCATION: Rochester Regional Health Home Care - Monroe, Ave DEPARTMENT: Home Care SCHEDULE: Day Shift, Monday - Friday; No Weekends; Hours Vary ATTRIBUTES Prior Speech-Language Pathology experience is preferred Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology (may be MA, MS, Med) 1 year of experience in a medical setting preferred. For Long Term Care/Elderone: 1 year of experience with the frail elderly population preferred. For recent graduates: Completion of at least 9 months supervised Clinical Fellowship year OR Eligible to participate in a supervised Clinical Fellowship year by a NYS licensed Speech Language Pathologist with a NYS Limited permit, followed by the NYS licensure examination and achievement of the NYS license. Required Licensure/Certification Skills: • New York State licensureor • For recent graduates: Completion of at least 9 months supervised Clinical Fellowship year OR Eligible to participate in a supervised Clinical Fellowship year by a NYS licensed Speech Language Pathologist with a NYS Limited permit, followed by the NYS licensure examination and achievement of the NYS license. Home Care Only: Current N.Y.S. Driver's License is required to drive one's own car in order to meet essential functions. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Kind and patient-focused

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Patient Evaluation & Development. Meet the patient's goals and needs by providing quality, evidence-based care; assess, develop, and implement an individualized treatment plan
  • Patient Care. Help patient accomplish treatment plan and accept therapeutic devices/recommendations; instruct, encourage, and assist patients in performing daily-living activities and in using assistive and supportive devices
  • Leadership. Develop the speech-language therapy staff; provide information, develop, and conduct in-service training programs
