About The Position

As a Speech Pathologist, your compassion, patience, and dedication to assisting patients with their communication abilities greatly enhance their quality of life. STATUS: Full Time LOCATION: Rochester Regional Health Home Care - Monroe Ave. DEPARTMENT: Home Care SCHEDULE: Day shift, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8 hr. shifts, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology (may be MA, MS, Med)
• New York State licensure or • For recent graduates: Completion of at least 9 months supervised Clinical Fellowship year OR Eligible to participate in a supervised Clinical Fellowship year by a NYS licensed Speech Language Pathologist with a NYS Limited permit, followed by the NYS licensure examination and achievement of the NYS license.

• Home Care Only: Current N.Y.S. Driver's License is required to drive one's own car in order to meet essential functions.
• MS: Speech Pathology (Required)
• CCC-SLP - Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology - American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASLHA)American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASLHA)
• SLP - Speech-Language Pathologist - New York State Education Department (NYSED)New York State Education Department (NYSED)

Nice To Haves

• Prior Speech-Language Pathology experience is preferred
• 1 year of experience in a medical setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Patient Evaluation & Development. Meet the patient's goals and needs by providing quality, evidence-based care; assess, develop, and implement an individualized treatment plan
• Patient Care. Help patient accomplish treatment plan and accept therapeutic devices/recommendations; instruct, encourage, and assist patients in performing daily living activities and in using assistive and supportive devices
• Leadership. Develop the speech-language therapy staff; provide information, develop, and conduct in-service training programs
