About The Position

We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. The Speech and Language Pathologist will primarily be responsible for diagnosis, treatment, counseling and follow-up services for speech, language, cognitive and behavioral disorders. Students will be served in Washington City Schools, Miami Trace, Head Start, Starting Gate and in home as needed. Caregiver schedule follows the school year schedule where serving We hire Speech Language Pathologists with their CFY! Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Proficiency with computers and basic word processing tools.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of experience providing direct patient care in a healthcare setting.
  • Clinical internship or experience in patient-facing roles during graduate training.
  • Familiarity with Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) and/or VitalStim certification.
  • Strong understanding of the ASHA Code of Ethics and relevant state practice laws.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating, treating, and preventing speech, language and swallowing disorders.
  • Creates treatment plans as part of an IEP to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of students.
  • Performs screenings to detect language or speech disorders.
  • Educates students, teacher, aides, and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events. Keep detailed records relating to patient conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress. Reports progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals.
