Position Summary Conducts developmental assessments, develops individualized program plans, and provides speech therapy services for children birth to three and consultation for their families. Services are provided in natural environments such as family homes and community settings in alignment with Early Intervention best practices. Reports to the Speech/Language Pathologist Supervisor of Early Intervention.

Requirements

  • Equivalent of a Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology with at least one year of related experience.
  • Must meet Act 33, Act 34, and FBI clearance requirements prior to providing services.
  • Valid Pennsylvania driver's license and properly insured vehicle available for daily use.
  • Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Speech/Language Pathologist required.

Responsibilities

  • Support the achievement of children and family outcomes through evidence-based Early Intervention practices.
  • Participate as a member of an interdisciplinary team to assess the development of children with delays in communication, hearing, oral motor, and feeding.
  • Conduct assessments, identify strengths and needs, and make recommendations for treatment and intervention strategies.
  • Share assessment results and progress updates with families and collaborate with other agencies and providers.
  • Maintain organized and appropriate therapeutic equipment and materials; follow Universal Precautions.
  • Collaborate effectively with other specialists within a Family-Guided Routines-Based Intervention framework.
  • Establish rapport and maintain positive, professional relationships with families.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the Assistant Early Intervention Director and Director as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
