We are currently seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our dynamic team at E-Therapy. Under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, the SLPA will support the delivery of speech and language therapy services to students in PreK-12 schools. Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
  • Active SLPA license or certification in Alaska (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct therapy services to students as directed by a supervising SLP
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, targeting areas such as articulation, phonology, language comprehension, fluency, and pragmatic skills.
  • Support implementation of individualized therapy plans and monitor progress
  • Assist with documentation, data collection, and preparation of therapy materials
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' communication goals in the classroom and other educational settings.
  • Maintain compliance with state regulations and school procedures
  • Participate in supervision and training as required
  • Incorporate evidence-based techniques and therapeutic activities into therapy sessions to promote speech and language development.
  • Monitor students' progress and adjust therapy plans as needed to facilitate optimal outcomes.
  • Document therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant information accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Experience providing speech-language therapy services in a school or pediatric setting.
  • Proficiency in assessment tools and therapeutic techniques commonly used in pediatric speech-language pathology.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
