Our comprehensive onboarding and training approach will support and prepare you to provide the best possible therapy to our clients! We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLP-A) to join our dynamic team. The SLP-A will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP CCC) to provide speech and language services to a diverse caseload of individuals. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our clients while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Requirements

Degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or a Bachelor's degree in communication sciences and disorders.
Valid SLP-A license or certification in state(s) of hire or eligibility to obtain.
Experience with early intervention and working with children with autism
Previous experience working with individuals with communication disorders, preferably in a clinical or educational setting.
Strong understanding of speech and language development and common communication disorders.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in using electronic health records and therapy software.
Ability to sit on the floor, kneel, crawl, squat, run or stand for extended periods of time
Ability to reach and hold objects
Ability to lift 30 pound s

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

Assist SLPs with screenings and assessments, including preparing materials and documenting observations.
Implement documented treatment plans or protocols developed by the supervising SLP.
Provide direct speech and language therapy services to individuals or groups as directed by the supervising SLP.
Document client progress and attendance accurately and promptly.
Prepare therapy materials and maintain an organized therapy environment.
Collaborate with the supervising SLP to adjust therapy activities as needed.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other professionals regarding client progress and goals.
Adhere to all ethical guidelines and professional standards set forth by relevant licensing bodies.
Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
