The Speech Language Pathologist works with speech, language and/or hearing disorders of identified students so affected need not be handicapped in their educational and vocational goals. The Speech Language Pathologist works under the direction of the Director of Student Services and/or the Building Administrator. The Speech Language Pathologist maintains continuous contact with various staff members to insure close coordination and communication necessary for successfully accomplishing the objectives of the speech and hearing program within the total educational process. They also maintain contact with parents, parent-teacher associations, professional associations and other community organizations in order to promote understanding and goodwill toward the objectives of the speech and hearing program in the Monroe School District.
