About The Position

Alameda Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. As a contractor, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population in our state-of-the-art facility located in the beautiful city of Alameda, CA.

Requirements

• Valid state license to practice speech language pathology
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Experience working with a diverse patient population preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in using electronic medical records systems
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities of patients
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and patient goals
• Provide evidence-based therapy services to patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective care for patients
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
• Educate patients and their families on techniques to improve communication and swallowing abilities
• Stay current on the latest research and techniques in speech language pathology
