We’re seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in Clarkston, Washington —a charming riverside town nestled in the Lewis-Clark Valley, known for its scenic beauty, outdoor recreation, and close-knit community. As an SLP, you’ll evaluate and treat residents with speech, hearing, swallowing, and cognitive challenges, helping them regain confidence and independence. You’ll work closely with physicians, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver personalized, evidence-based therapy in a skilled nursing setting.

Requirements

  • Strong clinical skills and current knowledge of speech therapy techniques.
  • Familiarity with the needs of the geriatric population.
  • Compassionate communication and a resident-centered mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative care team.
  • Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
  • Licenses/Certification : Current license in Speech Language Therapy as required by state law.
  • Valid CPR certification required.
  • Experience: Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, and fluency.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Administer and interpret specialized tests.
  • Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques.
  • Collaborate with rehab and nursing staff in a team-focused environment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold HIPAA standards.
