Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program and license
  • Familiarity with IEP processes, school-based service delivery models, and special education compliance requirements
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible, part-time schedule

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) with the ability to conduct evaluations and therapy in both languages, preferred
  • Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to students
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes, evaluation reports, and IEP updates
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student communication goals
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Communicate as needed with student families; promptly return phone calls and answer emails.
  • Build meaningful, positive relationships with all students
  • May conduct speech-language evaluations for students referred for services
  • May develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with federal and state regulations
