About The Position

Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with interest in acute care as well as outpatient populations. This PRN position is primarily in acute care, but also includes the opportunity to serve outpatients within our community-based hospital in the Southern Indiana/Louisville, Kentucky area. As an SLP, you will work one on one with patients to deliver effective bedside swallow evaluations and interventions, modified barium swallow studies, and interventions for cognition, social interaction, communication and problem solving. The role encourages creativity to engage patients in individualized plans of care and offers the opportunity for interdisciplinary team collaboration with radiology, respiratory therapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, referring providers, case management, social workers, and nursing staff to ensure best and most evidenced based practice. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in speech/language pathology or communicative disorders from an accredited program or whose course work and practice meet ASHA Certification requirements
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) or be CCC eligible (in their Clinical Fellowship Year – CFY)
  • Indiana license in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current IN license in speech/language pathology
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers required

Nice To Haves

  • At least one (1) year experience preferred

Responsibilities
