About The Position

Speech Language Pathologist performs evaluation and treatment of communication disorders, swallowing, feeding, and intellectual deficits in pediatric through geriatric populations. The person in this position provides services to the following populations: Infant Neonates (Birth to one year) /Toddlers (One to three year olds) /Pre-schoolers (Three to five year olds) /School age children (Five to eleven year olds) /Adolescents (Eleven to eighteen year olds) / Adults (Eighteen to seventy-five year olds) /Geriatrics (Seventy-five years and older)

Requirements

  • Master's Degree
  • One year of related experience. Requires a working knowledge of standard practices and procedures.
  • Speech Pathologist
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence issued by the American Speech, Hearing, and Language Association or Registration for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Speech Pathology evaluation and treatment procedures.
  • Licensure by the Georgia Board of Examiners of Speech Pathology.
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

  • Complete Discharge Summaries in a timely manner, in accordance with current therapy policy.
  • Conduct patient chart audits to ensure documentation compliance to meet CMS and other governmental agencies.
  • Conducts at least two (2) Speech Pathology in-services for nursing staff.
  • Responsible for Speech Pathology productivity.
  • Speech evaluations received by 12 noon M-F are performed within 24 hours.
