About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school-based contract opportunity in Colorado Springs, CO. The SLP will provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to support students’ academic success, communication development, and social growth. This role emphasizes evidence-based practice, collaboration with educational teams, and individualized student-centered interventions.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active or eligible Colorado Speech-Language Pathologist license
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship (CF) eligibility
  • Experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferred
  • Strong understanding of speech and language development
  • Familiarity with IDEA regulations and IEP documentation
  • Excellent clinical documentation and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a school-based SLP role
  • Experience with AAC and assistive communication technologies
  • Background working with culturally and linguistically diverse students
  • Ability to adapt therapy approaches to individual learning needs

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
  • Identify articulation, receptive/expressive language, fluency, voice, and pragmatic communication disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals
  • Provide therapy services in individual, small-group, and classroom-based settings
  • Participate in the IEP process, including goal development, progress monitoring, and reporting
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate, data-driven documentation of student progress
  • Support communication strategies within academic and classroom environments
  • Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal special education regulations
  • Attend staff meetings, parent conferences, and professional development sessions
  • Promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment
