Organization: Speech Therapy Job Summary: JOB SUMMARY Evaluates and treats patients with speech, language, voice, cognition, fluency, auditory (re)habilitation, and swallowing/oral feeding disorders. Educates and counsels patients and families. Provides independent therapeutic services and identify area(s) of clinical specialization and competency. Supervises graduate students as assigned in clinical specialty area. Participates actively in identifying and conducting quality improvement activities. Collaborates with clinical practice team to achieve patient outcomes and system objectives. . Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – PRN, Acute Care Location: Vanderbilt Tullahoma-Harton Hospital, Tullahoma, TN Schedule: PRN / As Needed 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Position Summary The Speech Pathologist provides evaluation and treatment for patients with speech, language, voice, cognition, fluency, auditory rehabilitation, and swallowing or oral feeding disorders in an acute care setting. This role delivers one-on-one patient care, collaborates with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, and helps patients and families understand the rehabilitation process. The clinician is responsible for documentation aligned with clinical and regulatory standards and participates in performance improvement activities. Graduate student supervision may be assigned.
