About The Position

An acute care hospital is seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations. This role supports inpatient care and requires strong clinical judgment in assessment, treatment planning, and discharge coordination. First-time travelers are accepted; Clinical Fellows (CFs) are not eligible .

Requirements

• Active State SLP License required
• CCC-SLP required
• BLS Certification required
• Minimum 2 years required

Nice To Haves

• 5 years preferred
• Acute care or community hospital experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct bedside swallow evaluations
• Assess and treat patients with CVA (stroke) and dysarthria
• Develop, implement, and reassess individualized plans of care
• Recommend and modify diet orders using compensatory strategies
• Perform oral motor and speech/language assessments
• Complete evaluations, reassessments, and discharge planning
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
