About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment services in an acute care hospital setting . The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise in managing medically complex patients and will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Active New York State Speech Language Pathologist license (NYSED)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care SLP experience
• Experience working with medically complex patient populations
• Demonstrated competency in dysphagia assessment and treatment
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills

Nice To Haves

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Prior hospital-based acute care experience

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
• Conduct bedside and clinical swallowing evaluations and manage dysphagia treatment plans
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and medical condition
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes
• Educate patients and families on therapy goals, strategies, and safe swallowing techniques
• Participate in discharge planning and care coordination
