About The Position

The Center at Cordera is looking for a PRN Speech Language Pathologist! Our Centers serve patients needing physical rehabilitation and/or complex nursing care. Our highly qualified, caring staff provides care in a beautiful, hotel like atmosphere to help our patients achieve strength and functionality. Requirements

  • Applicable state license is required for this position
  • Should have as a minimum, 1 years’ experience in a skilled nursing facility
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions and accept constructive criticism
  • Must possess leadership ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel
  • Must possess good judgement and have the ability to maintain highly confidential information
  • Must be knowledgeable of HIPAA compliance and requirements
  • Must have the ability and to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals and objectives of the department as it relates to the Company
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
  • Bachelor's (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Assess and treat disorders of swallow, speech, language, voice and cognition
  • Meet with administration, medical and nursing staff, as well as other related departments in planning speech therapy services-to include patients and family
  • Brief patient of procedures involved in speech therapy-reassure patient before and during therapy treatment
  • Determine proper treatment, application and body position, make adjustments when necessary in the administration of treatments
  • Recommend modifications of changes in the patient’s therapy program based on evaluation of progress
  • Ensure that all therapy notes are informative, descriptive and follow Company’s policy and procedures
