Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition and establishes a plan of care. Performs therapy programs utilizing standard speech therapy techniques as appropriate for the age and disability of the patient. Documents delivery of Speech Therapy services. Educates patients, family, caregivers and significant others. Promotes physical rehabilitation services through community/system based education activities, marketing opportunities, and support groups. Accepts the role of Clinical Instructor to supervise/educate students from accredited speech therapy programs. Acts as a preceptor Participates in planning for the provision of patient care services. Provides staff in-service upon returning from continuing education or professional conferences. Performs inpatient and outpatient fiber optic endoscopic evaluation of swallow (FEES)
