About The Position

Adelphi is seeking a Speech -Language Pathologist (SLP) Diagnostician to provide speech and language services in a school setting located in Milton, Florida. The ideal candidate will work closely with school administration to provide services to students in accordance with established guidelines and standards of practice. Requirements

  • A Master’s degree in Speech -Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or related field from an accredited educational institution, and
  • Possess a current Florida Department of Health Speech -Language Pathologist license or Florida Teaching Certificate (certification area: Speech Language Impaired).

Nice To Haves

  • A Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, preferred.
  • Five (5) years of experience in an educational setting, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teachers, psychologists, related service providers, and parents to support student needs.
  • Participate in MTSS and all pre -referral and referral procedures in accordance with district, state, and federal requirements.
  • Observe students, conduct formal and informal speech/language assessments, and prepare timely evaluation reports.
  • Analyze and interpret assessment data to assist teams in determining eligibility and service recommendations.
  • Assist in developing IEP components, including PLAAFPs, goals, objectives, service minutes, and Medicaid -required plan of care elements.
  • Offer SLPA supervision under the direction of the SRC contract manager and in accordance with FL Department of Health rules and regulations for SLPA supervision.
  • Support teams in progress monitoring, maintaining records, completing digital documentation, and ensuring Medicaid billing compliance within required timelines.
  • Serve as an IEP team member and attend meetings as needed; communicate effectively with staff and families, including required notice of staffing changes.
  • Schedule evaluations and services using various delivery models (consultative, collaborative, virtual, hybrid, pull -out) and maintain service schedules.
  • Participate in professional learning activities, district leadership teams, mentoring, and provide guidance to school -based teams.
  • Comply with professional ethical standards and district, state, and federal policies; support school and district goals while maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.
