Adelphi is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide speech and language services in a school setting located in Milton, Florida. The ideal candidate will work closely with school administration to provide services to students in accordance with established guidelines and standards of practice. Requirements

  • A Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or related field from an accredited educational institution, and
  • Possess a current Florida Department of Health Speech-Language Pathologist license or Florida Teaching Certificate (certification area: Speech Language Impaired).

Nice To Haves

  • A Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, preferred.
  • One (1) year of experience in an educational setting, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teachers, psychologists, related service providers, and parents to support student needs.
  • Participate in Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to identify and implement appropriate language interventions.
  • Observe students, conduct formal and informal assessments, and prepare timely evaluation reports.
  • Analyze assessment data and make recommendations regarding eligibility and need for speech/language services.
  • Develop Present Levels (PLAAFPs), goals, objectives, service minutes, and Medicaid-required plan of care elements for IEPs within district timelines.
  • Monitor and report student progress toward IEP goals using the district’s progress monitoring platform.
  • Provide evidence-based speech/language therapy services using appropriate delivery models (push-in, pull-out, virtual, hybrid, consultative).
  • Maintain accurate digital documentation and complete Medicaid billing within 48 hours of services provided.
  • Develop and follow service schedules, communicate schedule changes, and maintain effective communication with school personnel and families.
  • Comply with district, state, and federal policies; follow professional ethical standards; participate in required trainings and professional development; and maintain a safe, organized learning environment.
