Requirements
Master's Degree in applicable field of education from a regionally accredited college or university required.
Working knowledge of AACPS special education student database – TIENET.
Ability to use technology, (laptops, desktops, specialized assessment and data analysis software).
Ability to employ a variety of teaching styles to respond to the needs of diverse learners.
Demonstrated ability to effectively work and communicate with diverse populations.
Demonstrated proficiency with business technology applications (e.g. Video/Web Conferencing, Microsoft Office Suite -Word, Excel, Outlook, and/or PowerPoint preferred).
Speech and Language Pathologist License issued by Board of Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers and Speech Language Pathologists required
Speech and Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Certification issued by American Speech-Hearing-Language Association (ASHA) required.
National Provider Identifier (NPI) issued by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES) required.
Actively enrolled in Maryland Medicaid required.
Upon receipt of NPI, immediate enrollment in Maryland Medicaid required.
Responsibilities
Provides services for ESY as indicated on a student’s IEP.
Develops and implements appropriate therapeutic activities according to identified ESY goals/objectives.
Assists with implementation of collaborative activities with other professionals.
Assists other professionals in supporting students’ communication needs.
Maintains current and accurate data collection regarding student performance and attendance.
Maintains effective parent/school communication.
Prepares and distributes progress notes at the end of the session.
Performs other related duties as assigned within the same classification or lower.
