About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. The SLP will provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services for students.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Previous experience working as an SLP in clinical, educational, or healthcare settings.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practices in speech-language pathology.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, and voice
  • Utilize standardized tests, observations, and clinical evaluations to determine the nature and severity of communication and swallowing impairments.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, student goals, and medical history.
  • Provide evidence-based therapy interventions to improve communication skills, including articulation, fluency, voice production, and language comprehension and expression.
  • Address swallowing disorders through therapeutic exercises and techniques.
  • Conduct therapy sessions with students of all ages
  • Implement a variety of therapeutic approaches and modalities to meet the diverse needs of clients.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve therapeutic goals.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments, treatment sessions, progress notes, and treatment plans.
  • Prepare written reports and documentation for students, families, referring physicians, and other school professionals as needed.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, educators, occupational therapists, and other school professionals, to ensure coordinated care.
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and caregivers to educate them about communication disorders and involve them in the treatment process.
