The Integrated Missile Defense Solutions within the Air & Space Defense Systems Business Unit has an opportunity for a financial analyst to support a portfolio of development programs within the Specter Production Finance team. These programs are part of a larger strategic portfolio of systems Raytheon is developing to support our country’s evolving defensive plan. This is a high-profile position where multiple programs in this area are regularly reviewed by business unit leadership. The financial analyst position is a growth opportunity to learn about exciting new technologies while working programs that will continue Raytheon’s legacy as the premier provider of solutions to the warfighter. The ideal individual for this job will be a strong communicator with an acute desire to learn new concepts, tools, and management processes. This position will provide an opportunity to develop and enhance skills with SAP APEX, PRISM, and a host of other systems within the existing Raytheon earned value management tool suite. This role requires regular face-to-face interaction with our Control Account Managers (CAMs), Product Team (IPT) Leads, Program Leadership and the government customer. This position is an onsite role in Tucson, Arizona.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field
  • Experience using SAP, RPLAN, PMX, BW, EDIT+ or similar system.
  • Experience with MS Office ex. Microsoft PowerPoint and/or Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, graphing, etc.)
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Program Controls on earned-value programs, including solid understanding of Earned Value Management fundamentals.
  • Possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills and task flexibility.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and ability to meet multiple commitments.
  • Ability to perform ad-hoc analysis, data integrity checks, and reconciliations.
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Ability to interface effectively with Program Management team and other functional organizations.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
  • Excellent personal computer skills including a high level of proficiency with MS Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to Work under minimal supervision and deadline driven.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Finance support in development of quarterly Estimate-At-Completes (EACs), monthly Latest Revised Estimates (LREs) and Program Management Reviews (PMR)
  • Lead financial EV cadence on a monthly basis
  • Develop and delivery of Contract Data Requirement Lists (CDRLs).
  • On-going communication with Program Managers and IPTLs to help manage program cost and schedule
  • Conduct variance analysis for manpower and material spending including writing/reviewing variance narratives in an earned value environment
  • Coordinate and processing budget change requests as needed
  • Monitoring the funding, invoicing and cash collection for contracts
  • Raise the performance levels of those they work with by leveraging their previous experiences to complete challenging and complex assignments in a collaborative team environment
  • Ensuring program costs are collected correctly by maintaining active charge numbers and IOTs, monitoring actual charges, and processing transfers when appropriate
