About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our team in Savannah, GA. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 2:00pm - 11:00pm Job Responsibilities: Assist in the supervision of the day to day operations of the Accessioning department Occasionally float to off site locations for employee training and/or coverage Lead the team in their daily processes and procedures onsite or offsite locations Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing Oversee routing of specimens to their respective prep areas Encourage process improvements and best practices Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy Resolve any production errors as requested by management Research and resolve any production errors while escalating Engage in continuous process and service level improvements Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy Responsible for enforcing and managing policies and procedures Perform administrative duties Are you organized, accountable, and have always gone the extra mile to make sure things are done right? Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 years or more experience (lab, accessioning, or processing)
• Familiarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures
• Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
• High level of attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to make decisions in a fast paced environment
• Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position
• Able to lift up to 40lbs
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree or higher
• Experience in a clinical laboratory
• Prior leadership experience

Responsibilities
