About The Position
Precision Diagnostics, based in San Diego, California, is a fast-growing clinical laboratory specializing in drug testing to help physicians monitor patients undergoing treatment for pain or substance abuse. Requirements
- Must be a male specimen collector for observed collections of male patients.
- Possess a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, current auto insurance coverage, and successfully complete a motor vehicle record check.
- Flexibility to navigate between multiple clinics and provide regional specimen collector support in eastern KY.
- Knowledge of specimen collection techniques and procedures.
- Advanced understanding of preventing personal exposure to bio-hazards and infection prevention measures.
- Knowledge of specimen collection protocols and Personal Protective Equipment best practices.
- Basic computer literacy (software and hardware) and ability to learn new computer/technology skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external clients and patients, and compose grammatically correct, professional level written communication.
- Ability to follow checklists, maintain accurate files and records, and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate with, understand, and react effectively to a diverse patient population base.
- Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with coworkers, patients, and clients.
- Ability to establish rapport and gain the trust of others.
- Ability to accurately record information.
- Ability to maintain composure, interact diplomatically, and make effective decisions in confrontational situations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals who may have emotional/behavioral health needs.

- Commitment to practice Infection Prevention Protocols, HIPAA, OSHA Standards, Principles, practices, and techniques of specimen collection, and Federal regulations, state laws, and agency directives applicable to specimen collection.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent GED.

Responsibilities
- Provide a frictionless patient experience.
- Perform accurate and timely order entry and collection processes.
- Contribute to improved patient outcomes through precision in daily work activities.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens (oral, urine, and/or blood) according to established procedures and policy.
- Ensure accuracy of data entry, specimen collection, and shipping.
- Commit to organizational process improvement efforts and compliance.
- Facilitate the collection, processing, and shipping of laboratory specimens.
- Stay up to date with Precision policies and procedures and adhere to all healthcare regulations.
- Maintain neat, clean, and orderly client/work areas, and adhere to hygiene and dress code standards.
- Order and maintain inventory of Precision Diagnostics supplies.
- Perform direct observation during specimen collection, if required.
- Collect and troubleshoot any missing information at the time of specimen collection.
- Ensure accurate identification and entry of billing information, and collect payments when required, in alignment with corporate policies.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and compassion when interacting with clients and staff.
- Support seamless, patient-centered care delivery.
- Maintain 100% compliant workflow and take pride in work.
