About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Welder (Combo) to join our dynamic team in the Oil & Energy industry. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and safety of our operations by performing complex welding tasks on a variety of materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and exotic alloys. This position requires proficiency in multiple welding techniques, including TIG, MIG, and stick welding, along with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. As a Specialty Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing equipment, structures, and components while adhering to stringent quality standards and safety protocols. You will be working in various environments, including on-site and in fabrication shops, and may be involved in both new construction and maintenance projects. A strong focus on teamwork and collaboration is essential, as you will often work closely with other skilled tradespeople and engineering professionals. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in welding, preferably in the Oil & Energy industry.
  • Certification in multiple welding techniques (e.g., AWS or ASME).
  • Strong understanding of welding processes, metallurgy, and material properties.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Proficiency in operating welding equipment and tools.
  • Knowledge of industry safety standards and practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex welding operations using TIG, MIG, and stick welding techniques.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and components.
  • Conduct quality inspections of welds to ensure adherence to industry standards.
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other tradespeople on project requirements and timelines.
  • Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
